NEW PRODUCT! Introducing Organic Maple Syrup

We are excited to introduce the newest product to the NFTC pantry - Organic Maple Syrup. Harvested from a family owned forest in Vermont USA, that is protected with a conservation easement, this rich and delicious maple syrup comes from maple trees that are between 60 to 100 years old. 

During the Winter (December to February) the sap inside the tree freezes, and as the weather starts to warm up, there is a short time frame (approximately 6 weeks), where the sap thaws during the day, and refreezes at night. A small spout is "tapped" into the tree, and the thaw/refreezing process assists in pushing the sap out of the tapped spout. 

This flavourful and rich natural sweetener is perfect for a multitude of baked goods. Create a plate full of fluffy maple and pecan scrolls, or a decadent maple bacon cupcake as a sweet afternoon treat.
